Mientras con descaro coloco la como quinta foto del Bernard en estos días (y-las-que-faltan. No es amenaza.....O sí?) agrego acá los detalles de la entrevista que le concedió a Korbi (Zap2it), donde sigue sin aclararnos la quemazón pestañérica de cómo es que sobrevivió su personaje, pero sí dio unas cuantas luces sobre lo que nos espera con Mr. Almeida este año.

La entrevista de Carlos Bernard:

El retorno de Tony Almeida a 24 fue anunciado ya hace algún tiempo y tú ya has filmado mucho más. Estás involucrado en la precuela?

No, no. Mi personaje aparecerá en el primer episodio de la nueva temporada.

Siempre supiste que Tony podía estar vivo y regresaría?

Siempre fue una posibilidad, sí. Ya sabes, dejaron la puerta semi abierta a propósito. Ellos estuvieron hablando de traerme de vuelta para la temporada seis también, pero no se sentía correcto. Pero sí. Los escritores y yo hemos estado discutiendo eso desde hace ya algún tiempo.

(Necesitan una mejor explicación? Carlos, si no fuera por lo lindo que eres, te odiaría a matar por esta vaina)

Entonces tú colaboraste con ellos con la historia de Tony? Qué hace a la temporada siete el momento correcto para el retorno de Tony?

Bien, sólo aporté ideas. Ellos tienen grandes ideas y lo maravilloso es justamente eso, ellos son estupendos probando cosas afuera o aún escuchando ideas que tú pudieras tener. Es un show imposible de escribir, y ellos son lo suficientemente inteligentes y seguros de sus propios talentos como para saber que pueden usar cualquier idea que se les ocurra. Pero en gran parte, sólo compartimos ideas que ellos tenían sobre mí. Ellos hicieron la mayor parte del trabajo.

Te agrada la manera en que él regresa? (Tony, por supuesto!)

Sí, es grandioso, es grandioso. La gente lo va a adorar.

(Tanta insistencia en ésto ya me está poniendo verde. Cuándo carajo es que es Enero? Digo, a ver si es que de verdad lo voy a adorar. Tanta venta ya suena a timo y no quiero ser negativa)

Y dices que lo veremos en el episodio uno?

Sí. Es el momento en que saldrá a luz. Y es un sentimiento muy orgánico. Realmente tiene mucho sentido el momento en que está el personaje ahora, después de todo lo que ha tenido que pasar durante estos años. Y ha sido un año realmente divertido para filmar. Ha sido, realmente, grandioso. Con el tiempo adicional que tomaron antes de que la temporada comenzara a filmarse, y con el tiempo extra que tuvieron después de la huelga de guionistas (porque nosotros no saldremos al aire sino hasta el próximo mes de Enero) han sido capaces de trabajar en la historia de toda la temporada, en vez de escribir episodio tras episodio y trabajar con lo que aparezca en el camino. Y creo que eso rendirá frutos. Será una temporada muy fuerte.

Tendremos la mayor parte de respuestas sobre dónde ha estado Tony en el primer episodio de la temporada?

En los primeros cuatro a cinco episodios.

Oh, entonces lo están alargando. Tendremos un poco más de información cada semana?

Sí, sí. Pero lo dirán todo en esos primeros episodios.

Escuché que Tony tomará un giro más oscuro. Es cierto? Puedes decirme algo más?

Sí, definitivamente sí. Puedes llamarlo el villano de esta temporada. Tiene una visión más oscura de la vida ahora.

Y algo extraño con Jack?

(Silencio sepulcral.....)

Está bien, muy bueno.

Cómo estuvo eso como respuesta?

Muy bien! creo que capté la idea.

Tony Almeida's return to 24 was announced some time ago and you've already shot quite a bit. Are you involved in the prequel at all?
No, no. My character comes out in the first episode of the new season.

Did you always know that Tony could still be alive and come back?
It was always a possibility, yeah. You know, they left the door slightly open on purpose. There was talk about bringing me back for season six too, but it just didn’t really feel right. So yes, the writers and I have been [discussing] it for a while now.

So you collaborated with them on Tony's storyline? What makes season seven the right time for Tony to return?
Well it’s just about ideas. They have great ideas and the really wonderful thing is that, throughout the whole run, they’ve been really great about sort of testing things out or even listening to ideas that you might have. You know, it’s an impossible show to write, and they’re smart enough and secure enough in their own talents to know that they can take any idea that they can get. But for the most part, it’s really them just sort of sharing ideas that they have with me. They're doing the brunt of work.

So were you happy about the way he comes back?
Yeah it’s great, it’s great. People are going to love it.

And you said we'll see him in episode one?
Yeah, it’s right off the bat. And it’s a very organic feeling. It really makes sense where the character is now, after everything he’s gone through over the years. And it’s just been a really fun year to shoot so far. It’s really been great. With the extra time they took before the season started shooting, and with the extra time they have had after the writers’strike -- because we aren’t airing until next January -- they’ve been able to work out the story throughout the season, instead of just writing from episode to episode and working it out along the way. And I really think it’s going to pay off. It’s been a very strong season so far.

Will we get most of the back story about where Tony’s been in the season premiere?
In the first four or five episodes.

Oh, so they're stretching it out. We’ll be getting a little bit more information each week?
Yeah, yeah. But it’ll be spelled out in those first few episodes.

I heard Tony's taken a dark turn. Is that true? Can you tell me anything else?
Yes, definitely. You can call him a villain in this season. He’s got a dark view on life now.
