Declaraciones oficiales de Kiefer Sutherland ante el anuncio del acuerdo al que llegò con el tribunal su grupo de abogados, el cual le representarà treinta dìas de càrcel como mìnimo màs un adicional por la violaciòn de su probatoria. La sentencia final serà "el regalo de cumpleaños" para sus 41 años (Lo sentencian el 21/12/2007)



Sin embargo, èsto representa tambièn que tendremos temporada siete de 24 en todos los tèrminos en que fue anunciada previamente. El acuerdo garantiza que Kiefer cumplirà cualquier sentencia que le impongan en tiempos en que la producciòn de 24 estè de vacaciones (precisamente, la serie entraba en perìodo vacacional el 21/12) Asì lo habìa ofrecido ante la Century Fox, de acuerdo a declaraciones oficiales de la productora:



Today our friend Kiefer Sutherland resolved his criminal case at the earliest opportunity. Kiefer made clear to us at the time of his arrest that his first concern was the welfare of those he worked with and that he intended to do whatever was necessary to prevent shutting down the show because of his situation. He told us that even if he had to sacrifice more time in custody in order to protect the show and the jobs of those who work with him, he would do so. From what occurred today, it is evident he is a man of his word. We wish him well and look forward to a long relationship with him.”
