No màs autògrafos de Kiefer?

No sè què tan cierto sea èsto, pero presumo que ninguna cronista se lanza a escribir un artìculo serio sobre el tema si no tuviera algùn viso de credibilidad.

De acuerdo a una nota del New York Post fechada ayer 31 de octubre, y que habrìan comentado algunos coleccionistas de autògrafos y memorabilia, Kiefer Sutherland habrìa decidido no volver a firmar autògrafos de ninguna clase. El actor habrìa dicho que "'I don't do that anymore. You guys screwed me" (No lo harè màs. Ustedes me tienen harto)

La razòn, supuestamente? las fotos y el video famoso que le tomaron post fiesta de Fox, donde aparecìa cansado y emocional (fotos que seràn discutibles el resto de la vida. Ojalà Kiefer supiera que al menos UN fans no considera que esas fotos eran demostraciòn "fehaciente" de que estaba borracho) De acuerdo a esta nota, esas fotos podrìan haber sido usadas como evidencia contra Kiefer si hubiera ido a juicio, pero Kiefer optò por negociar y aceptar su responsabilidad. Razones ya harto comentadas en este blog.

Despuès de esta situaciòn, Kiefer estarìa cansado de la invasiòn a su privacidad y la cantidad harto industrial de comentarios, fotografìas y juicios particulares (un eufemismo...) que ha generado el incidente del pavoso 25 de septiembre pasado.

No sè. Yo tengo la impresiòn de que no es màs que reacciòn ante lo que le està pasando y lo que le queda por pasar... y francamente, lo puedo entender. Lea Anna Cooper, del American Chronicle, dice en una interesante nota que posteo màs adelante, que aunque la razòn no es lo ocurrido, nadie puede culpar a Kiefer de sentirse mal con todo èsto...

...y presumo que mucho viene de que el actor no debe haber sido inmune a la cantidad de idiotas imbèciles y medios con papparazzi aùn màs imbèciles que han estado comentando y buscando como locos esas viejas historias de borracheras previas de Kiefer, calificando su acciòn como si fuera el primero y el ùltimo que serà condenado por manejar con màs alcohol del permitido. Algo que tambièn ya comentè por estos predios y que seguirè criticando hasta que me harte. Porque creo que de esa temporada lo màs que me molestò, escribiendo con toda sinceridad, no fueron los medios retrasados que hacen eso por vender. Fueron esos seres, auto llamados fans de Kiefer, que literalmente convirtieron algo lamentable en algo aùn màs lamentable. Porque....y lo vuelvo a decir. Què razòn puede tener ALGUIEN para hablar pazguatadas sobre el "ejemplo" que debe dar un actor y coartarle su derecho inalienable a cometer errores en su vida y a tener que afrontarlos?

Què exactamente hace que un incidente personal sea literalmente juzgado, destrozado y alienado por gente que no tiene NI idea de lo que pasan estas personas que estàn en la luz pùblica? O es que de verdad la gente cree que por ganarse (y en este caso el ganarse es al mil por ciento) la vida actuando y sacar contratos millonarios...esta gente no pasa los mismos disgustos, las mismas presiones y la misma locura que cualquiera de nosotros?

Si es por eso, no tengo dudas. Decir que no lo lamento es mentira. Lamento que Kiefer`se sienta asì por culpa de unos cuantos. Lamento que estè de bajo perfil y que estè tan afectado por lo que pasò. Creo que es perfectamente comprensible. Quizàs no sea la mejor forma, pero....quien lo puede culpar a estas alturas de la vida? Ninguno de los coleccionistas de autògrafos ni los papparazi pasaràn un segundo en una prisiòn en Navidad. Màs bien presumo que papparazi y vivales se haràn millonarios si sacan una foto de Kiefer el 21 de diciembre....mejor no lo escribo que me da algo. En fin. Sigo pensando con afecto en Kiefer. Creo que lo màs que merece de fans como una es el mìnimo RESPETO al mal momento que està pasando. Y mantengo mi cariño y solidaridad con èl. No sè què ocurre con los buenos deseos de todos los que no juzgamos ni hablamos pazguatadas de lo que no conocemos en su totalidad, pero ojalà ese buen pensamiento y ese cariño le pudieran llegar de alguna manera a mi querido Kiefer Sutherland.

BTW, el mismo NYPost indicò en una nota cuatro dìas antes que habìan visto a Kiefer en N. York pasando un rato con unos amigos, bebiendo cerveza y jugando pool mientras veìan uno de los juegos de la Serie Mundial.

KIEFER SUTHERLAND MAKES HIS DECISION – NO MORE AUTOGRAPHS

An article appeared today in the New York Post, which may have some Kiefer Sutherland fans in an upheaval. Autograph collectors are being told by Kiefer that he will not sign any more memorabilia.

In a reprint of the New York Post article, Richard Johnson states, “IF you have anything signed by Kiefer Sutherland, hang onto it. Autograph collectors are reeling over the "24" star's decision to stop putting his signature on memorabilia in the wake of his Sept. 25 bust for DUI, when fans and paparazzi snapped footage of him stumbling after he was pulled over at 1 a.m.

"He was one of the best autograph signers there was," collector Michael Wehrmann told Page Six. "He would always stand and sign for a half hour, but since his arrest, he's been telling collectors, 'I don't do that anymore. You guys screwed me.' " Photos taken before the arrest, showing Sutherland looking tired and emotional, were quickly posted on the Internet. The shots could have been introduced as evidence in court, but Sutherland pleaded "no contest." (End Post quote).

Although the DUI incident is not the reason to reject ‘signings,’ who can blame Kiefer for the way he feels. The Paparazzi and many of the fans DO NOT RESPECT any one person’s privacy. While DUI is of a vital concern, the fact is that countless people ‘hang onto every act, motion and word’ of celebrities, so something was bound to give way at this point.

I, for one, do not believe it is fair or respectful to gloat over the misfortunes of others, in particular that of celebrities in Hollywood. Let’s face reality and ask this simple question: Do celebrities request news media to watch over all of the general public’s dilemmas, by requesting news teams and photographers standing by ready and willing to take photos of our unhappiness or problems? How many people out there have been caught on a DUI or have had other personal issues that have gone array, and had their photos, story or BAC (blood alcohol content) plastered all over the news? Can the general public really and truly say this is something they would want to have happen to them?

I, as well as millions of other people, believe in the ‘right to privacy.’ What I cannot understand is ‘why’ people insist on fashioning themselves, their beliefs and set their lifestyles and standards by the ‘stars.’ Why should any celebrity bare the burden of being responsible for the imprints that are made upon the public, and continue to be ‘made an example of, of what not to do?’ It is not fair to them, and since Kiefer Sutherland has always and forever been gracious to his fans, this situation has to have been ‘the straw that broke the camels back.’

The media’s incessant need to put celebrities in a ‘bind,’ so to speak, is atrocious at best. The fans, especially, should know better than to put footage onto the internet that could be considered ‘court evidence.’ The release of this category of ‘quick video’ is disgraceful, and people, especially his 'so called fans,' should know better. I really do not blame Kiefer for his new stand. If people did this to me, I would most certainly feel and react the exact same way.

This is a very sad thing for his followers, but as they say, “It only takes one bad apple to spoil the whole barrel full.” In this case, it was the acts of the groveling press and utterly disrespectful fans. Although Kiefer is a celebrity, he has just as much right to move about in privacy as anyone else, and not be judged by his every thought, word or deed. For people to use his case as a staunch example, is appalling. GIVE IT A REST!
